Welcome to the Time Out Workshop 2024, one of Middle Tennessee’s most popular continuing education events. The goal of this one-day, low-cost workshop is to examine issues relevant to social workers and other professionals who serve older adults and people with disabilities. Johnson McGinnis Elder Care Law & Estate Planning, PLLC offers an opportunity for professional growth with practical tools you can use every day.

If you are a Social Worker, Case Manager, Discharge Planner, or other healthcare professional who serves older adults, this workshop is for you!

Frequently asked questions

What is the dress code?

This is "Time Out" away from the office. Feel free to dress comfortably.

What if I can no longer attend the event? Can I get a refund?

In general, there are no refunds. However, you are more than welcome to have someone attend in your place. The reimbursement arrangement is between you and your substitute. Please let us know who will be attending in your place so we can adjust the registration accordingly.

Should I receive a ticket?

This is not a ticketed event. You will check in at the registration desk.

What are the food options?

There will be a continental breakfast provided (pastries, yogurt, coffee). There will also be several snack breaks throughout the day in addition to lunch. There will be vegetarian lunches available. However, if you follow a strict vegan or gluten-free diet, you will need to plan accordingly.

Will this provide CEUs?

Contact hours are provided for social workers. All attendees will receive a workbook including each presenter's information, slide deck, and learning objectives. Each attendee will also receive a certificate of attendance.

What about parking?

There is ample, free parking at The Inn at Opryland. However, this can fluxuate depending on the amount of guests staying at the hotel. Early arrival is always a best practice.
